Strength training with weights has become a more popular fitness choice with both male and female clients in recent months, and the results are impressive.
Active8 personal trainers work with a mix of clients in their 20s right up to their 70s, including regular clients right up to elite athletes. All strength training programmes in Bristol are modified and delivered as a bespoke service.
Our strength training programmes in Bristol focus on strength work, weights and body conditioning, with appropriate intensity levels for each client.
Strength training with weights has increased in popularity over the last two years in particular, and the personal trainers at Active8 ensure that every client has the correct form and an increase in weights over time.
Our PTs also see if clients can achieve a progressive overload of 1-2 kgs and reps each week to create small improvements.
Progressive overload is a recognised technique in strength training with weights, designed to reduce the likelihood of an injury happening.
The strength training sessions in Bristol are usually an hour long, with a mobility warmup including stretches, and then strength-based exercises.
Most clients undertaking strength training programmes in Bristol with us have two sessions per week at our Clifton and Henleaze gyms.
Our PTs also include exercise work utilising assault bikes, running and rowing to give a real mix within the strength training programmes delivered in Bristol.
